Our innovative and inclusive preschool provides a strong foundation that sets the stage for future academic and personal achievement. Children ages 2 to 5 years, with and without autism, benefit from practices that promote young children’s optimal learning and development.

Inclusion is good for everyone: all people benefit from a sense of belonging, support, trust, and mutual respect. The program promotes positive relationships among all children and adults. It encourages each child’s sense of individual worth and belonging as part of a community and fosters each child’s ability to contribute as a responsible community member.

Our Classrooms. Each child is unique with different rates and paths of development. Below is the general class organization; however, each child is placed in the setting that provides developmentally appropriate opportunities for them to interact with their peers, with materials, and with concepts and ideas.

    • 2 yrs.—3 yrs. Young Learners (full-day)
    • 3 yrs.—4 yrs. Preschool (full-day)
    • 4 yrs.—5 yrs. Pre-Kindergarten (full-day)

Our 3:1 student-teacher ratios allow for individualized instruction and support. Each child is unique and with individualized instruction and support can succeed.

Classroom Leadership. Every classroom is led by a highly qualified and experienced teacher and two clinical classroom leads. In addition, our transdisciplinary team, which includes Board Certified Behavior Analysts (BCBA), provides supports that address the needs of children and families in a broad-based and coordinated way that make greater progress toward common goals.

Developmentally Appropriate Practice. Our programs utilize developmentally appropriate practices, which provide an optimal balance of adult guided and child-guide experiences, complexity and challenge of activities, learning formats and contexts, and indoor and outdoor learning time.

Individualized Instruction. We provide high-quality instruction and interventions matched to children’s needs, address the role of the environment as it applies to development and improvement of behavior problems, and monitor progress in ongoing, strategic, and meaningful ways to improve teaching and learning.

Curricula. Our program focuses on building strong foundational skills in the area of communication, social/emotional, play, cognition, self-help, and physical development. In addition to developmental milestones, special focus is dedicated to prerequisite and “ready to learn” skills, such as attending, listening, and social skills. Our hands-on, experiential, play-based curriculum was developed by Teaching Strategies—Gold and is endorsed by Arizona Department of Education and the National Association for the Education of Young Children (NAEYC).
